TORONTO -- Kevin Kiermaier's bat is heating up, as he delivered two home runs during the Rays' 10-3 loss to the Blue Jays on Wednesday night at Rogers Centre.
"I didn't do anything different, just ran into a couple of good pitches to hit," Kiermaier said. "... Just my whole offensive approach as of late, just try not to do a whole lot. Go up there, see the ball, hit it where it's pitched. Just try and find a barrel. I feel pretty locked in right now. And I don't plan on changing anything."
With Kiermaier's homer on a 2-2 pitch from Aaron Sanchez in the sixth, the gifted Rays center fielder notched the third multi-home run game of his career.
Kiermaier also homered off Sanchez in the second inning.
His previous multi-home run game came on Aug. 23, 2017, against the Blue Jays at Tropicana Field. Both came against right-hander Marcus Stroman.
Kiermaier has heated up recently, hitting .367 with three doubles, three triples, two homers and six RBIs in his last 14 games.
He now has six home runs for the season.
