Giants ink Brebbia, on mend from TJ surgery

The Giants have signed right-handed reliever John Brebbia to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday.
The 30-year-old missed all of 2020 after undergoing Tommy John surgery in June. Brebbia posted a 3.14 ERA over 175 innings with the Cardinals from 2017-19, with a 1.10 WHIP and 10.2 strikeouts per nine innings.
Brebbia is one of a handful of free agents the Giants have signed to Major League deals this offseason, joining starting pitchers Kevin Gausman and Anthony DeSclafani, reliever Matt Wisler, catcher Chadwick Tromp and infielder Jason Vosler.
