Cubs summon Tseng to start in place of Yu

CHICAGO -- Jen-Ho Tseng, the Cubs' Minor League Pitcher of the Year in 2017 and the club's No. 11 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, will make his second career big league start on Tuesday night against the Marlins at Wrigley Field when he subs for Yu Darvish, who was placed on the disabled list with flu-like symptoms.
Tseng, 23, was 0-4 with an 8.04 ERA in six starts this season with Triple-A Iowa. He made his Major League debut on Sept. 14 and appeared in one other game last season for the Cubs. The right-hander was 13-4 with a 2.54 ERA in 24 starts at Iowa and Double-A Tennessee last season.
Darvish was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Monday, retroactive to Friday, with parainfluenza virus. Maddon said that Darvish has been feeling ill for a couple days. The right-hander is 0-3 with a 6.00 ERA in six starts with the Cubs this season.
