MILWAUKEE -- Jackie Bradley Jr. has not yet gotten his bat going in a Brewers uniform, but defense doesn’t go into a slump.
Bradley delivered the Brewers’ first bona fide home run robbery of the year in the seventh inning of Saturday’s 5-1 loss to the Braves at American Family Field, leaping at the center field wall to pull back Ozzie Albies’ deep fly ball in the seventh inning. The high-wire act was awarded Play of the Week by Major League Baseball the following Monday.
“That was an incredible play and it keeps a run off the board,” manager Craig Counsell said. “We continue to play good defense but that was a beautiful catch by Jackie. Almost the most nonchalant home run rob you've ever seen. It almost looked nonchalant for him.”
A former Gold Glove Award winner in Boston, Bradley has mostly been manning the corners since center fielder Lorenzo Cain returned from a stint on the injured list, but Bradley got the start in center on Saturday when Cain had a scheduled day off.

Bradley was at it again on Sunday, robbing -- you guessed it -- Albies of extra bases with another sensational leaping catch, this time in left field.
