Hunt Auctions announces partnership with MLBPAA
Hunt Auctions, the nation's premier auctioneer of significant baseball memorabilia, is proud to announce a new partnership with the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA). Hunt Auctions will serve as the official auction company for the MLBPAA with the purpose to facilitate various consignments, retail projects and appearance opportunities for its player membership.
"We are very excited to embark upon this newly formed relationship, as it fits perfectly with our 20-year history of working with countless Major League Baseball players and their families in the representation of their collections," said David Hunt, president, Hunt Auctions. "We feel our unique blend of expertise in the field coupled with our unwavering commitment to professional integrity will equate to an outstanding relationship with the MLBPAA. The MLBPAA has a great history of working with its player membership, and we look forward to assisting that same purpose in any way possible."
Hunt Auctions has built the foundation of its company on the representation of former and current Major League Baseball players and their families. The roster of baseball personalities having been represented by Hunt Auctions is the most comprehensive in the history of the industry, including numerous benchmark examples. A sampling of those players includes: Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, Jim Palmer, Earl Weaver, Curt Flood, Roy Campanella, Mickey Vernon, Leo Durocher, Clem Labine, Whitey Ford, Thurman Munson, Robin Roberts, Bill McKechnie, former National League president Charles Feeney and former MLB commissioner Bowie Kuhn.
"Since Hunt Auctions is a preeminent leader in the baseball memorabilia auction and consignment industry, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with them," said Chris Torgusen, MLBPAA's vice president of marketing. "We feel that Hunt's track record in the handling of numerous prominent memorabilia collections over the years speaks for itself. Our player membership contingent should feel as confident in Hunt's well-established, results-oriented processes as we do."
