Major League Baseball players, managers and on-field personnel don special blue apparel on Sunday as part of a continued league-wide celebration of Father's Day.
For the second straight season, MLB has designed special uniforms that blend blue into each club's traditional logo and feature hats highlighted by a blue heather top and grey visor. Players also have, for the first time, a choice between two pairs of blue-infused socks.
Major Leaguers have sported blue wristbands and ribbons on Father's Day since MLB partnered with the Prostate Cancer Foundation in 1996 to help raise awareness about prostate cancer and funds for research to battle the disease. On Sunday we carry on the ritual in honor of all the fathers who occupy the diamond, the dugouts and the bleachers in addition to all the devoted dads who helped nurture us throughout one of the league's most festive days of the season.

Dazzling Darvish: SEA@TEX, 3:05 p.m.

Coming off his shortest outing of the year, right-hander Christian Bergman gets the ball for the Mariners. He pitched just 2 2/3 innings and allowed nine earned runs in a 20-7 loss to the Twins.
Royal flush: KC@LAA, 3:37 p.m.
Few pitchers in the game have had more success through Saturday than Royals' veteran lefty Jason Vargas. The 34-year-old has won four straight starts to improve to 9-3 on the season, and he's paired it with a sparkling 2.10 ERA. Vargas has already twirled a shutout against the Indians this month, and he will make his 14th start of the year on the heels of seven innings of one-run ball vs. the Giants.

Nifty nightcap: BOS@HOU, 8:05 p.m., ESPN
American League powerhouses cap off Father's Day as the surging Red Sox send left-hander David Price to the mound to take on the first-place Astros and righty Joe Musgrove. Price has had mostly success since making his season debut on May 29, allowing fewer than three earned runs in three of his four outings.

Musgrove is coming off a loss to the Rangers in which he surrendered two earned runs in 4 2/3 frames on Monday.
