Veteran third baseman Gio Urshela, who split time last year with the Tigers and Braves, has agreed to a contract with the A's, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand on Thursday night.
There were no details on the length or dollar amount of the contract, and the A's have not confirmed the deal.
The 33-year-old Urshela combined for nine homers and 52 RBIs with a .250/.286/.361 slash line with Detroit and Atlanta in 2024.
Urshela came up with Cleveland in 2015 and has also spent time with Toronto, the Yankees (2019-21), Minnesota and the Angels.
