See London's HRDX event through the eyes of a player

History was made in London earlier this summer when the Yankees -- featuring former slugger Nick Swisher, professional softball player and Italian national team star Erika Piancastelli, Great Britain national team member Richard Brereton, and Mexican olympic gymnast Daniel Corral -- defeated the Red Sox to win the first ever FTX MLB Home Run Derby X. Though blessed with amazing athleticism, Corral had never played baseball before he began training for the tournament, allowing fans a chance to see what it's like for someone to go from a complete novice to bashing seven home runs in the inaugural event.

Even better, Corral made sure to keep his camera running throughout his time in London, so viewers could also see just what it's like to travel through England, line up next to Major Leaguers and blast home runs into the festival-like crowd.

"The sun, it’s strong," Corral said on the day of the event as he stepped into the batting cage. "It’s like we brought with us the sun from Mexico."

Corral was also overwhelmed to be surrounded by Major League stars like Swisher, Jonny Gomes, Geo Soto and Adrián González.

"We are batting literally with MLB legends. We got Nick Swisher -- of the Yankees. [He's a] World Series champion. A little bit ago Adrián González was [batting], and he's Mexican. He’s from Baja, [California] as a matter of fact. It’s simply incredible to hang out with true MLB legends. It’s a great feeling practicing with MLB legends, giving you tips, having them cheering you on, and making you feel part of the team."

The full video is in Spanish, but the visuals make Corral's experience -- and excitement -- clear to see.

"My people, we won!" Corral exclaimed after the Yankees took the trophy. "This was tough. I was tired. Everything was decided at the very end. This was crazy! First of three. Let’s keep it going!"

Watch the full video above and then tune in when the Yankees look to win the next event in Seoul, South Korea on Sept. 15.
