News of signings from all over the league were in abundance on Friday as the dust settled on the 1 p.m. ET deadline for teams to agree on contracts with arbitration-eligible players before exchanging salary figures.
As those contract details filtered in, rumors were surfacing on the free-agent market, where several top players remain unsigned. Here's a look at the latest Hot Stove stories from around the big leagues.

Fister seeking $22 million contract
The cost to sign Doug Fister is reportedly two years and $22 million, according to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.
The Phillies, Tigers and Marlins have each been linked to the veteran hurler this winter. MASNsports.com's Roch Kubatko said the Orioles are also interested, but not at that asking price.
Fister could present a buy-low opportunity coming off a down year. He posted a career-worst 4.19 ERA through 25 games (15 starts) last season but is only one year removed from a strong 2014 campaign. The 31-year-old has a 65-63 record and 3.42 career ERA through seven seasons with the Mariners, Tigers and Nationals.
Checking in on Cespedes
Free-agent outfielder Yoenis Cespedes is reportedly seeking a six-year deal that would net him roughly $22 million annually, per Crasnick.

The Orioles emerged as a serious suitor this week and have been reported to have a five-year deal in the $90 million range on the table, with the potential for a sixth-year option. However, with Baltimore reportedly agreeing to bring back slugger Chris Davis on Saturday, their offer to Cespedes could now be off the table.
The White Sox have also been linked to the 30-year-old, who batted .291/.328/.542 with 35 homers and 105 RBIs through 159 games with the Tigers and Mets in 2015. He's entering his fifth year in the Majors and has a .271 career average.
Although the price tag may be steep, Cespedes could be appealing to clubs because he isn't tied to Draft-pick compensation, unlike Justin Upton, the other top outfielder on the market.
Angels bring in Alburquerque
The Angels have reportedly come to terms on a deal with veteran reliever Al Alburquerque, according to MLB Network's Jon Heyman.
The report indicates that the contract is valued at $1.1 million plus incentives. The club has not yet confirmed the signing.
The 29-year-old Alburquerque, non-tendered by the Tigers last month, compiled a 3.20 career ERA and averaged five walks and 11 strikeouts per nine innings over five seasons with Detroit. His numbers dipped last season, when he went 4-1 with a 4.21 ERA through 62 innings.
The right-hander will add depth to the Angels' bullpen. He's under team control through the 2017 season.

Padres close to signing Rodney
One day after the Padres were reported to have interest in free-agent reliever Fernando Rodney, they're now said to be nearing a deal. Heyman reported on Friday that San Diego is close to signing the veteran right-hander.
Rodney, 38, totaled 133 saves from 2012-14 but struggled for the Mariners in 2015, posting a 5.68 ERA before being traded to the Cubs. He finished the season strong, however, allowing just one earned run in 12 innings with Chicago.
