Rockies name Dustin Garneau bullpen coach

The Rockies named former catcher Dustin Garneau their bullpen coach on Thursday.

Garneau, 37, who was drafted by the Rockies in the 19th round of the 2009 Draft and spent the first 2 1/2 years of his eight-season career with Colorado, served as the organization's catching coordinator in 2023 and '24.

In 168 Major League games with the Rockies (2015-17), Athletics (2017, '19), White Sox (2018), Angels (2019), Astros (2020) and Tigers (2021-22), Garneau slashed .205/.285/.373 with 15 home runs and 54 RBIs.

He recorded a .989 career fielding percentage in 164 games at catcher.
