Dodgers outright Gore off 40-man roster

The Dodgers outrighted outfielder and pinch-running specialist Terrance Gore to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, opening a spot on the 40-man roster.

Gore, 29, made the club’s Opening Day roster and appeared in two games, but was designated for assignment and eventually outrighted. He also was active for the National League Wild Card and Division Series and did not play, but was not on the roster for the NL Championship Series or World Series.

Dodgers decline option on righty Nelson

Although Gore has never had a World Series at-bat, he now has earned two World Series rings, having been part of the 2015 Kansas City Royals.

As a player outrighted twice, he had the right to refuse the assignment and become a free agent.
