The Dodgers-Yankees weekend showdown in the Bronx is the marquee matchup of the season so far, a battle of baseball behemoths with a rich history and stacked rosters.

A classic series opener inside Yankee Stadium befitting that matchup thrilled us on Friday night, when the Dodgers won, 2-1, in extra innings. Outside of Yankee Stadium on Saturday afternoon, however, the fan intensity remained high for the faithful of Friday’s winning club.

Droves of Dodgers fans, part of a traveling fan club known as Pantone 294, paraded in the streets around the ballpark prior to the second game of the big series, which many think could be a World Series preview. And they certainly made their presence felt.

The hundreds of people wearing Dodger blue chanted “Let’s go, Dodgers!” as they geared up for Game 2 of the series, the first in which the clubs have faced off at Yankee Stadium since 2016.
