LOS ANGELES -- Andre Ethier (tibia fracture) was in the Dodgers' clubhouse on Friday and will undergo cardiovascular, non-weight-bearing activity in the next few days.
The left fielder underwent a CT scan on his leg Thursday and received encouraging results. His planned return date remains in the territory of mid-to-late June.
"It's gotten better," manager Dave Roberts said. "Right now, we're going to start getting on some non-weight-bearing activity. We have this machine called the Ultra G. He's not going to be bearing any weight. It's a step in the right direction for him."
While in the clubhouse, Ethier was walking on crutches but was able to stand without assistance.
Ethier sustained the injury in the later stages of Spring Training, fouling a pitch off his shin. He remained in Arizona after camp broke to continue rehabbing.
With 10 Dodgers on the DL, Ethier wasn't the team's only injury update for the day. Pitchers Hyun-Jin Ryu (left shoulder) and Brandon McCarthy (right elbow) will throw bullpen sessions on Saturday. Pitcher Mike Bolsinger (oblique) and infielder Alex Guerrero (left knee) will both play in extended spring training games in the next week.
