LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers acquired 6-foot-9 left-hander Adam McCreery from the Braves for cash considerations on Wednesday. Los Angeles made room on the 40-man roster by designating for assignment switch-pitcher Pat Venditte.
McCreery, 25, pitched in one game for the Braves in 2018, splitting the rest of the season between Triple-A and Double-A. McCreery struck out 71, but he also walked 37 in 54 2/3 innings. He was designated for assignment by the Braves on Nov. 20.
Originally selected by the Angels in the 2014 MLB Draft, McCreery was traded to the Braves for Jhoulys Chacín in '16.
