It has been a tough stretch for the Mets, but perhaps the sight of one of the franchise’s all-time greats -- and his adorable son -- showing some support can bring some good feelings to the struggling club.

Seven-time All-Star David Wright, the Mets’ all-time leader in hits (1,777), RBIs (970) and runs (949), attended New York’s game at Dodger Stadium on Saturday afternoon with his family. Wright was grinning ear to ear as he cuddled with his baby son Brooks, his youngest of three children. The iconic third baseman, who lives in Los Angeles, has no official role with the club at the moment, and he was taking in the game as a fan.

Given the Mets’ woes scoring runs -- 28th in the Majors -- perhaps Wright can offer some guidance.
