Freese activated from IL; Pollock next

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers made their first in an expected series of All-Star break roster moves on Monday by activating veteran David Freese from the injured list and optioning rookies Kyle Garlick and Edwin Rios to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Freese was out with a left hamstring sprain since June 21. He has appeared in 56 games, batting .308 with eight homers and 23 RBIs.

The Dodgers are expected to also activate outfielder A.J. Pollock from the injured list before play resumes Friday in Boston. Pollock is scheduled to conclude Minor League rehab assignments on Monday night.

Garlick appeared in 25 games, hitting .216 with two homers and four RBIs. Ríos made eight appearances, hitting .267 with one double, one triple and one RBI.
