The D-backs trimmed their Spring Training roster on Monday, when they optioned Cody Hall to Triple-A Reno and Matt Koch to Double-A Mobile. The club also reassigned several players to its Minor League camp, a group that includes former big leaguers Kyle Drabek and Adam Loewen.
Arizona reassigned Drabek and Loewen, along with fellow pitchers Daniel Gibson, Scott Rice, Braden Shipley and Tim Stauffer. Outfielder Todd Glaesmann, catcher Mark Thomas and infielders Kyle Jensen, Jack Reinheimer and Carlos Rivero were also among the group reassigned on Monday.
Koch, listed as the D-backs' No. 19 prospect by MLB Pipeline, pitched to a 4-8 record and a 3.46 ERA last year for Double-A Binghamton, the Mets' affiliate. Koch was acquired by Arizona last August in a deal for Addison Reed and made one appearance -- a victory -- for Double-A Mobile.
