The Dodgers defended home field through two games of the National League Championship Series, beating the Cubs, 4-1. The NLCS presented by Camping World continues on Tuesday night from Wrigley Field. MLB.com was on the scene Sunday in and around Dodger Stadium.
10:59 p.m. ET: Ballgame.
Justin Turner clearly loves the big stage, and the stage doesn't get much bigger than it did on Sunday night. The Dodgers third baseman smashed a game-winning three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning, sending the Dodgers to a 4-1 victory and a 2-0 series lead. It came on the heels of a curious decision by Cubs manager Joe Maddon, to use John Lackey in relief with Wade Davis available in the bullpen. Lackey served up Los Angeles' first walk-off of any kind in the postseason since the 2009 NLDS. The Dodgers are two games away from the World Series -- as close as they've been at any point since their last championship in 1988.

9:37 p.m. ET: Dodgers answer with run-scoring rally
The Dodgers wasted no time tying things up in Game 2. After the Cubs jumped in front on Addison Russell's solo homer in the fifth, Justin Turner's RBI single tied the game at 1 in the bottom of the frame. Charlie Culberson -- who is replacing injured star shortstop Corey Seager -- opened the frame with a double and advanced to third on Chris Taylor's groundout. With an empty base, Cubs starter Jon Lester chose to not pitch around Turner, the Dodgers' best hitter. Turner made him pay, smacking a two-strike single through the right side. Lester's night ended after he walked the next hitter, and Carl Edwards Jr. escaped the jam by striking out Chase Utley.

9:06 p.m. ET: Russell muscles Cubs to 1-0 lead
For the second night in a row, the Cubs used the long ball to open the scoring. In Game 2, it was Addison Russell who turned around a Rich Hill fastball and put it into the third row of left-field seats. Hill had stifled Chicago's offense through four innings. But he left a fastball up for Russell, and the Cubs shortstop pounded it 358 feet as projected by Statcast™. It was Russell's fourth career postseason dinger. Hill wouldn't allow any further damage in the inning, though he did allow an opposite-field single to Cubs starter Jon Lester -- his first playoff hit in 20 career at-bats.

7:57 p.m. ET: King of the Hill
Dodgers lefty Rich Hill struck out a pair to work around a leadoff single in the first inning. The first K of the game went to Anthony Rizzo, who whiffed on Hill's curveball.
