CHICAGO -- This decade saw Cubs fans throw a party more than a century in the making. The franchise went through a rebuild and then a rebirth, bringing a World Series trophy to the North Side in an era that saw winning become as important as tradition at Wrigley Field.

There have been many incredible and historic games involving the Cubs over the past 10 years. Here are the Top 10 games -- postseason or regular season -- with some honorable mentions, beginning with the moment Kris Bryant threw across the diamond to Anthony Rizzo to clinch a World Series crown in 2016.

1. A Game 7 for the ages
Nov. 2, 2016

The Cubs had not won a World Series since 1908. The Indians had not won it all since 1948. So, naturally, one of the greatest Fall Classics in history lasted into November, included dramatic twists and turns, requiring extra innings. Jason Heyward became a legend for his rain-delay speech ahead of the final frame. David Ross homered and was carried off the field on the shoulders of his teammates. And the Cubs broke all curses and ended the longest championship drought in professional sports with a Game 7 and World Series for the ages.

2. Clinching against Cards
Oct. 13, 2015

For the first time in Wrigley Field history, the Cubs clinched a postseason series at home. In Game 4 of the National League Division Series, Javier Báez hit a game-tying homer, Rizzo launched a go-ahead blast and Kyle Schwarber put a baseball atop the scoreboard in right field. The Cubs famously put a glass case over the ball Schwarber crushed. That the win came against the rival Cardinals seemed to signal a changing of the guard in the NL Central.

3. Cubs win the pennant
Oct. 22, 2016

In Game 6 of the National League Championship Series, Willson Contreras and Rizzo went deep off Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw. Right-hander Kyle Hendricks -- MLB's ERA champion with a 2.13 mark in '16 -- spun 7 1/3 shutout innings. The game wasn't close and the day turned into a celebration seven decades in the making. For the first time since 1945, the Cubs were headed to the World Series.

4. Arrieta's Wild Card masterpiece
Oct. 7, 2015

During the 2015 regular season, Jake Arrieta won 22 games and spun a 1.77 ERA -- a season that earned him the NL Cy Young Award. The right-hander continued his dominance in Pittsburgh, where he struck out 11 and walked none in a complete-game shutout. Schwarber launched a Gerrit Cole pitch into the Allegheny River and a dominant era of Cubs baseball was underway with an overpowering Wild Card win.

5. Taking down the Giants
Oct. 11, 2016

Giants lefty Matt Moore overpowered the Cubs with 10 strikeouts over eight innings in Game 4 of the NL Division Series. Chicago was trailing, 5-2, in the ninth, but went to work against the San Francisco bullpen. The Cubs struck for four runs in the ninth against five different relievers, setting the stage for Aroldis Chapman to strike out the side for a series-clinching victory. It was the first step in the North Siders' march to World Series triumph.

6. A grueling win in Washington
Oct. 12, 2017

In Game 5 of the 2017 NLDS, the Cubs held an 8-4 lead in the sixth, only to have Washington chip away and pull within one run. Wade Davis worked the final 2 1/3 innings for the Cubs, ending a draining, 4-hour and 37-minute contest with a strikeout of slugger Bryce Harper. Chicago reached the NLCS for a third consecutive season.

7. Arrieta no-hits Dodgers
Aug. 30, 2015

Arrieta's historic '15 campaign had its signature moment at the end of August, when the ace struck out 12 in a 116-pitch no-hitter. Arrieta finished the job by striking out Justin Turner, Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley in the final frame. A two-run homer by Bryant in the first inning held up as the difference. As it happened, it was a themed road trip for the Cubs, and Arrieta did his postgame press conference while wearing gray onesie pajamas covered in a pattern of mustaches.

8. Bote slams the Nats
Aug. 12, 2018

It was every kid's backyard dream scenario. Two outs, bases loaded and bottom of the ninth. David Bote even had two strikes on him, too. Then, the Cubs infielder drilled a Ryan Madson pitch for an ultimate grand slam. Bote's miracle blast was the first pinch-hit, walk-off slam by a Cubs batter since Earl Averill on May 12, 1959. It was the first walk-off slam by a Cubs hitter when trailing by three runs since Ellis Burton on Aug. 31, 1963.

9. A wild comeback
April 14, 2018

It was near-freezing with strong gusts of wind and a steady, annoying light rain falling. The Braves carried a 10-2 lead into the sixth inning, when Atlanta's wheels began loosening. They officially came off in the eighth, when the Cubs pieced together a nine-run outburst (each run coming with two outs) to pull off an incredible comeback. The eighth inning featured five walks, three hits, two hit batsmen and one wild pitch. A miserable day turned memorable for the fans who braved the conditions at Wrigley.

10. The John Baker Game
July 29, 2014

Chicago's bullpen was on fumes, so the club handed the ball to backup catcher John Baker in the 16th inning of a marathon contest against Colorado. Baker needed 11 pitches to get through the frame unscathed. Then, he led off the bottom of the 16th with a walk and eventually scored from third on a sacrifice fly for a walk-off win. Baker became the first position player in Cubs history to get credited for a win, doing so in the longest game time-wise (six hours, 27 minutes) in franchise history.
