LOS ANGELES -- Cody Bellinger celebrated his bobblehead night the way he’s celebrated most of the Dodgers’ games this year, with a home run.
He slugged his National League-leading ninth homer off Milwaukee right-hander Zach Davies with one out in the bottom of the fourth inning Saturday night at Dodger Stadium, cutting the Dodgers’ deficit to 2-1. That was the only offense the Dodgers could muster in a 4-1 loss.
The home run gave Bellinger 22 RBIs in 16 games. Bellinger hit 25 homers with 76 RBIs in 2018. Bellinger has twice as many RBIs as the next-highest Dodger, Max Muncy, who has 11. The Dodgers have homered in 28 consecutive home games, four shy of the 1999 Rockies’ MLB record.
