Kershaw gets out at first, sends Pirate flying

Clayton Kershaw was getting this out by any means necessary.
With two outs in the second inning Saturday at Dodger Stadium, the Pirates' Bryan Reynolds hit a soft ground ball to first baseman Max Muncy. Kershaw was booking it off the mound to cover, and when he realized Reynolds might beat him to the bag, he broke into a desperate slide for first -- getting the out and sending Reynolds flying.
Kershaw made sure to check that Reynolds was OK after the hard-nosed play. The left-hander also tossed a gem, striking out eight over seven innings of one-run ball in L.A.'s 3-1 win.
