Taylor exits with left hamstring tightness

CHICAGO -- Perhaps Cubs right fielder Jason Heyward would have thrown out Chris Taylor at the plate in the third inning of the Dodgers' 4-0 loss anyway, but having a tight left hamstring didn't exactly help Taylor's cause Wednesday.
The shortstop eventually was removed in the sixth inning for precautionary reasons, although he insisted that with a scheduled day off Thursday, he expects to be back in the lineup Friday when the Dodgers open a series in New York against the Mets.
"I think that's when it tightened up on me," said Taylor. "It wasn't a pull or anything, but after that play, there were a couple instances where it kind of grabbed. I don't expect to miss any playing days. If everything goes as planned, I think I should be in there."
Taylor had an eventful day before exiting. He fouled a pitch off his left ankle in the first inning and needed the attention of a trainer before continuing his at-bat, later flying out to center field.
In the third, he doubled, then was later thrown out by Heyward at the plate after tagging up on Justin Turner's flyout to right field. Taylor popped out in the fifth inning.

Kiké Hernández moved from center field to shortstop to replace Taylor, and Cody Bellinger replaced Hernandez in center field.
