Cards-Cubs postponed; makeup on July 21

CHICAGO -- The Cubs-Cardinals rivalry will have to wait one day. Monday's game between the two National League Central teams was postponed because of the cold, and it will be made up as a day-night doubleheader on Saturday, July 21.
Monday's forecast called for wind chills in the 20s at game time at Wrigley Field.
On July 21, the makeup game will be played at 12:05 p.m. CT, and that will be followed by the regularly scheduled night game at 6:15 p.m. CT.
Separate tickets will be required for each game. Tickets to Monday's game at Wrigley Field will be honored for the 12:05 p.m. CT makeup game on July 21. No ticket exchange is necessary.

The postponement is the fourth of the season for the Cubs, who could not finish their series on Sunday against the Braves because of the inclement weather. That game will be made up on Monday, May 14, which was an off-day. The Cubs also have a day-night doubleheader on Saturday, May 19, in Cincinnati against the Reds to make up the April 3 game, which was postponed because of rain.
The Cubs' home opener against the Pirates on April 9 was delayed one day because of the weather as well.
The Cubs and Cardinals will try to play Tuesday night at Wrigley, with Tyler Chatwood (0-2, 4.91 ERA) facing Adam Wainwright (0-2, 5.06 ERA).
Wainwright will make his 19th career start at Wrigley Field, where he's 10-2 with a 3.79 ERA.
Chatwood will start his second straight game at Wrigley. He took the loss in his last outing against the Pirates, giving up five runs on nine hits over five innings.
