Infielder/outfielder Christopher Bostick was designated for assignment to make room for Boshers on the 40-man roster.

Rodriguez had one hit in his last 20 at bats and was 7-for-30 (.233) with two homers in 10 games since coming off the DL on July 20 after a right quad strain.
