The Chicago Cubs today placed left-handed pitcher Brian Duensing on the 10-day disabled list with left shoulder inflammation and recalled left-handed pitcher Randy Rosario from Triple-A Iowa.
Rosario, 24, begins his fourth stint with the Cubs and is available for today's game against the San Diego Padres at Wrigley Field.
Rosario is 4-0 with seven holds and a 1.97 ERA (7 ER/32.0 IP) in 26 relief appearances for the Cubs this season. Claimed off waivers by the Cubs in November of last year, Rosario has no record and a 0.46 ERA (1 ER/19.2 IP) in 12 games with Iowa this season.

In eight minor league seasons, he is 18-22 with a 3.21 ERA (133 ER/372.1 IP) in 120 outings, including 55 starts. A native of Rio San Juan, D.R., Rosario originally signed as a non-drafted free agent with the Twins in August of 2010.
