Brewers-Cubs opener delayed by rain

CHICAGO -- The Brewers-Cubs game was delayed by rain in the top of the sixth inning with two on, nobody out and the Brewers leading, 4-3. Play is scheduled to resume at 5:35 p.m. CT. The delay followed a play in which Kyle Schwarber committed two errors, first misplaying a ball after making a long run from left field and then throwing it past second base and into right field.
The Brewers pulled ahead in the top of the fifth, first tying the game at 3 on a single from Orlando Arcia with the bases loaded, then taking the lead after a walk to Jesús Aguilar in the ensuing plate appearance.
The Cubs did all of their scoring in the third and fourth innings, plating one in the third on a double from Jon Jay and two more in the fourth off a single by Willson Contreras.
