MILWAUKEE -- For the first time in nearly a year, fans will cheer the Brewers when they take the field in Spring Training.

Major League Baseball released revised Spring Training schedules on Friday with health and safety considerations in mind, and the Brewers subsequently announced that they will begin selling tickets to games at American Family Fields of Phoenix at 10 a.m. CT on Thursday. Tickets will be available on Brewers.com, via telephone or at the box office in Phoenix.

The Brewers and other teams are taking steps to safely host fans during the COVID-19 pandemic. Attendance for each home game will be capped at about 2,300 fans, just shy of 25 percent capacity, and spectators will be seated in “pods” separated from one another. Fans aged 2 and older must wear masks when not eating or drinking. To minimize touch points with security, no bags will be permitted other than medical bags, manufactured diaper bags or purses smaller than five inches by nine inches. Tickets will be delivered digitally.

“We have worked closely with the City of Phoenix, Major League Baseball and health experts to safely welcome fans back into the stands at American Family Fields of Phoenix,” Brewers president of business operations Rick Schlesinger said. “This is an exciting development for all of us, and we will be limiting capacity to 2,300 fans per game to allow for proper social distancing. We know that fans are looking forward to the return of the ballpark experience, and we know that our players look forward to the energy fans bring to the environment.”

The Brewers’ Cactus League opener is a Feb. 28 road game against the White Sox. The first home game is two days later against the Athletics. All of Milwaukee's home Spring Training games are day games.

In all, the revised spring schedule includes 14 games at American Family Fields of Phoenix and 15 on the road, including the two previously scheduled exhibition games in Arlington, Texas, against the Rangers at the end of camp. Split-squad dates have been eliminated in the new schedule.

The Brewers will continue to use dynamic pricing for their Spring Training games, with prices starting from $12 for lawn seating to $32 for the diamond box. All tickets will be sold in pods of two to four seats.

Per Major League Baseball 2021 guidelines and consistent across all of Spring Training, games scheduled for March 2-13 may be shortened to five or seven innings in duration. Games from March 14-28 may be seven or nine innings.

The Brewers have not yet finalized whether fans will be allowed to attend regular-season games at American Family Field in Milwaukee, saying that decision is dependent on local civic and health regulations. Opening Day is scheduled for April 1 at home against the Twins.
