Braves-Cubs finale PPD; makeup Aug. 30
ATLANTA -- Weather prevented the Braves and Cubs from playing a scheduled series finale for the second time this season.
Heavy rainfall led to the postponement of Thursday night's game against the Cubs at SunTrust Park. The game has been rescheduled for Aug. 30 at 7:35 p.m. ET.
Manager Brian Snitker did not talk to the media following the postponement; the team will wait until Friday to announce how the rotation will be affected.
The Braves had recalled Max Fried from Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday afternoon to start in place of Michael Soroka, who was placed on the disabled list earlier in the day with inflammation in his right shoulder.
With the postponement, the Braves have the option of skipping Fried and keeping their rotation in order by allowing Sean Newcomb to make his scheduled start against the Marlins on Friday.
Fans who had a ticket for Thursday's game should hold the ticket for admission to the Aug. 30 game. Mobile tickets will remain available in the Ballpark app for the rescheduled date. Those with a prepaid parking pass can use the same lot and barcode for the rescheduled game.

Anyone who is unable to attend the Aug. 30 game can exchange their ticket for any remaining 2018 home game. Ticket exchanges must take place before Aug. 30.
Frigid conditions and rain led the Cubs to postpone their April 15 game against the Braves until this past Monday. After that makeup game was played at Wrigley Field, the two teams traveled to Atlanta for this three-game series.
