Drury day to day with bruised left hand

ST. PETERSBURG -- Yankees second baseman Brandon Drury left Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Rays with a left hand contusion after being hit by 3-2 breaking ball that got away from Rays starter Yonny Chirinos in the fifth inning.
X-rays were negative and Drury is considered day to day.
Drury initially stayed in the game and was able to advance to third on a single by Neil Walker. Yankees third-base coach Phil Nevin noticed the swelling in Drury's hand and immediately signaled for the trainers. Drury was lifted for pinch-runner Tyler Wade, who stay in the game at second base.

"Looks like he bruised up pretty good," manager Aaron Boone said. "Looks like he took a pretty good shot, so we'll see where we are with him overnight and in the morning. At this point, it is probably a day-to-day situation."
Drury, who was recalled from Triple-A Scranton Wilkes Barre on July 20, is batting .176 with one homer and seven RBIs in 18 games this season.
