Wednesday's top prospect performers
Here's MLB Pipeline's roundup of the top prospect performances in the Minor Leagues on Wednesday.
Cavan Biggio led the way with an impressive power display as the Double-A New Hampshire offense exploded for 17 hits in a 14-3 win over Richmond.

The Blue Jays' No. 9 prospect set a career high with five RBIs and turned in the first two-homer game of his career as part of a 3-for-5 performance at the plate.
Biggio, who has 23 homers in 100 games this season after hitting just 11 homers in 189 games over the past two seasons, hit a solo homer in the second and followed that up with a two-run blast in the fourth.

While that alone would have constituted a pretty good day at the plate, the 23-year-old wasn't quite finished as he drove in two more with a double in the fifth.
Biggio, often overshadowed in the Fisher Cats lineup by Vladimir Guerrerjo Jr. (who was recently promoted to Triple-A Buffalo) and Bo Bichette, is hitting .255/.397/.533 in his first Double-A campaign and has seen his stock rise throughout the year. However, after hitting .279 in April and .327 in May, Biggio fell below .200 in both June and July.
Bichette (Blue Jays' No. 2, No. 9 overall) also contributed to the win as he went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a pair of RBIs.

Other top prospect performances from Wednesday's action:
• No. 30 overall prospect Brendan McKay (Rays' No. 3) put together another strong performance of the mound with Class A Advanced Charlotte. McKay issued one walk and threw 34 of his 46 pitches for strikes as he cruised through four innings. The lefty struckout four and surrendered one hit.
• No. 40 overall prospect Ian Anderson (Braves' No. 2) was unhittable for 7 2/3 frames with Class A Advanced Florida. Anderson, who was lifted after 100 pitches (66 strikes), retired the first nine batters he faced before a runner reached via an error. The right-hander, who has a 2.57 ERA this season, also walked a batter and struck out five.
• Astros No. 28 prospect Brandon Bailey carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning of his fifth straight scoreless start for Class A Advanced Buies Creek. Bailey, who hasn't allowed a run over last 31 1/3 innings, gave up just one hit in the outing. The right-hander issued one walk, struck out eight and now has a 2.49 ERA to go with 113 strikeouts through 97 2/3 innings (20 games, 16 starts) this season.
• Blue Jays No. 10 prospect Sean Reid-Foley lowered his ERA to 3.49 as he threw 6 1/3 solid frames for Triple-A Buffalo. Reid-Foley threw a season-high 110 pitches (64 strikes) and gave up just one run via a solo homer. In total, the right-hander yielded four hits, walked three and struck out six.
• D-backs No. 5 prospect Daulton Varsho hit for the cycle in his first four-hit game of the season. Playing in the Rookie-level AZL as part of a rehab assignment, the 22-year-old went 4-for-6 and scored a trio of runs.
• Dodgers No. 16 prospect Connor Wong put together a perfect night at the plate for Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga. The 22-year-old went 4-for-4 with two homers, two RBIs and four runs scored. The four hits marked a season high for Wong, while the two homers were his third such game of the year.
• Indians No. 2 prospect Nolan Jones went deep twice -- the first two-homer game of his career -- for Class A Lake County. Jones, who finished 3-for-4, hit solo blasts in the fourth and sixth innings to bring his season total to 16.
• Phillies No. 10 prospect Cole Irvin threw 61 of his 96 pitches for strikes as he spun his first career complete game (seven innings) for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The 24-year-old lefty improved to 10-3 with a 2.77 ERA through 21 starts after yielding five hits in the shutout. Irvin was hit hard in his previous start, but has given up one run of fewer in three of his past four starts.

• Red Sox No. 6 prospect Bobby Dalbec went 2-for-2 with a homer and a triple for Class A Advanced Salem. The former fourth-round pick (2016) is really tapping into his power this season after hitting just 20 homers over 119 games in 2016 and '17. Through 100 games with Salem, Dalbec has already gone deep 26 times.
• Royals No. 12 prospect Carlos Hernandez has been on quite a roll for Class A Lexington and it continued as he spun seven innings of one-run ball. The 21-year-old right-hander threw 55 of his 74 pitches for strikes as he struck out six and gave up one run on four hits. Hernandez has completed seven innings in four of his past six starts and over those six outings he's given up eight runs (six earned) and fanned 37 over 38 1/3 innings.
