All the best names in the 2021 Draft

There are a few things teams look for on Draft Day when they pick a player. They want a player who is fast and athletic, and who projects to become even stronger and more dominant as they get older. They want velocity, a whip-quick swing and smooth hands -- to name just a few.

One of the things they don't look for are guys with great names. Fortunately, we're not scouts. So, while we may not know how a prospect may develop his changeup or retool a loopy swing, we know when someone has one heck of a fun name to say. These are the guys we're going to highlight today -- the Sicnarf Loopstocks, Blake Deatherages, the Logan Warmoths of the world.

While we don't know what their futures on the baseball field look like, they're already in the birth certificate Hall of Fame.

Here are the 10 best names from the Top 250 Draft prospects that you should expect to see nabbed in the early rounds. Then be sure to tune in and see who your team picks when the Draft begins on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.

1. Kumar Rocker (Ranked 6th overall)

One of the top prospects in the game has one of the best names. Doesn't hurt that his name sounds like a high-end brand of rocking chair, too.

2. Maddux Bruns (49th)

Some say there's no such thing as a pitching prospect. But what if that pitching prospect is named after a pitching great?

3. Thatcher Hurd (60th)

This is what you wouldn't want to hear after making fun of England's prime minister in 1980.

4. Gunnar Hoglund (22nd)

We're all living in Hogland, we just don't know it yet.

5. Malakhi Knight (95th)

Forget the upcoming film "The Green Knight" -- this is the only action star I want to see.

6. Max Muncy (38th)

Yes, somehow he also shares a birthday with the other Max Muncy. Maybe they're clones?

7. Gage Jump (43rd)

This is how we should grade high jumps at the Olympics -- by gauges.

8. Harry Ford (13th)

It's upsetting that this wasn't the name of the star of the "Young Adventures of Indiana Jones."

9. Wes Kath (34th)

Just try and say this five times fast.

10. Justice Thompson (119th)

Is this a name or the new show coming to CBS on Friday nights about a sheriff in the Wild West?

While those are some of the best names you might see go early in the Draft, there are thousands more who are eligible to selected -- and that means there are plenty more players with amazing monikers and stupendous sobriquets. Here are the rest of the names we can't wait to see called during the Draft:
