Vote NOW to pack ASG full of Astros
DETROIT -- It should come as no surprise that an Astros team that leads the Major Leagues in runs scored and OPS would be well-represented in Phase 2 of voting for the All-Star Game.
The Astros had a Major League-best seven players advance to Phase 2 of the balloting, which means they ranked in the top three at their position -- top nine in the outfield -- in the American League in fan balloting. You can vote for them NOW until Thursday at 1 p.m. CT.

The seven players are Martín Maldonado (catcher), Yuli Gurriel (first base), Jose Altuve (second base), Alex Bregman (third base), Carlos Correa (shortstop), Yordan Alvarez (designated hitter) and Michael Brantley (outfielder). The only Astros position players not to advance are outfielders Kyle Tucker and Myles Straw.
Fans can vote at mlb.com/vote -- or on Google by searching "MLB All-Star vote" or "Vote" along with a player's name. You can vote daily on both platforms, including once per day on MLB.com. The All-Star starters will then be unveiled on Thursday at 8 p.m. CT, on ESPN, when the results of Phase 2 balloting are announced.
The rest of the 2021 All-Star rosters will be named on Sunday, July 4, at 4:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
