Thursday's top prospect Fall League performers

Here’s a look at Thursday’s top performers from the Arizona Fall League.

Brewers: Hendry Mendez, OF (No. 27), Surprise Saguaros
Mendez tallied his first multihit game of the fall, going 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and three runs scored. The 19-year-old hasn’t quite found his groove offensively through 36 plate appearances, but his high-contact rate has been on full display and he’s managed a respectable .361 OBP to this point.

Cubs: James Triantos, 2B (No. 9), Mesa Solar Sox
The 20-year-old, who has arguably been the top overall hitter in the Fall League this season, continued his tear at the plate with his third homer of the campaign against Glendale. Through 16 games, Triantos has bumped his league-leading OPS up to 1.304 and his 11 extra-base hits are tied for second with Peoria’s Jakob Marsee (SD No. 12). Triantos has hit safely in 14 of the 16 contests he’s played in, with seven multihit performances to improve his slash line to .424/.507/.797. More »

Guardians: Ryan Webb, LHP (Unranked), Peoria Javelinas
The 6-foot-1 southpaw has excelled at striking batters out this fall, and he took over the AFL lead in K’s with six more against Surprise. Webb, a fourth-round pick in 2021, twirled four innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits and walking just one in his fourth start of the fall. Through 14 1/3 innings, the 24-year-old has notched 27 punchouts for a 16.9 K/9 mark.

Padres: Graham Pauley, OF (No. 11), Peoria Javelinas
Pauley has settled into a nice groove after hitting safely in his fifth straight game, going 3-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored. It was Pauley’s first three-hit game of the fall and his batting average to .267 across 60 at-bats for the Javelinas. The 23-year-old is coming off a breakout 2023 campaign -- he was the only Padres prospect to have a 20-20 season -- and earned the organization’s Hitting Prospect of the Year.

Rangers: Emiliano Teodo, RHP (No. 22), Surprise Saguaros
Teodo has been one of the most dominant arms in the Fall League this season, going unscored upon in six appearances out of the Saguaros bullpen. He punched out a pair to secure his third save of the campaign against Peoria, running his fastball up to a reported 102 mph. He gave up his second hit of the fall -- a single by Tyler Locklear (SEA No. 11) -- before whiffing Graham Pauley in a seven-pitch at-bat to end the game. Through eight innings, Teodo has allowed just three batters to reach base and has struck out 16 of the 27 batters he's faced.

Royals: Daniel Lynch IV, LHP, (Unranked) Surprise Saguaros
Lynch got the start as he rehabs from a shoulder strain he sustained in July. The 26-year-old southpaw made his way to the Majors in 2023, but started for just the second time since July in his appearance for Surprise. Lynch cruised through three innings of one-run ball, striking out five. He made nine starts for the Royals in 2023. More »
