Appalachian League announces new hires
The Appalachian League has announced the additions of Casey Fahy and Frank La Sala to the front office staff.
Casey Fahy joins the Appy League as the director of baseball development. He will oversee the player identification and recruitment process, manage the hiring process for all managers and coaches and oversee all on-field personnel during the season. Fahy comes to the Appy League after having spent the last 13 years as a scout with the Kansas City Royals. Prior to his time with the Royals he spent five years coaching at the collegiate level. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware where he played baseball.
Frank La Sala joins the Appy League as the manager of baseball administration. He will manage the process for player-related paperwork throughout the year, maintain and update the league website and social media channels and write and produce league press releases. La Sala worked for the Greeneville Reds in the Appy League in 2019. He also worked for the Tennessee Smokies, Daytona Tortugas, the Newark Pilots and the California Winter League. La Sala is a graduate of Marist College.
“I’m excited to bring Casey and Frank on board,” said Appalachian League president Dan Moushon. “Both bring great baseball experience and will be valuable assets to the league.”
