Former Dodgers utility man Alex Guerrero has signed a deal with the Chunichi Dragons of the Nippon Professional Baseball Organization to play in Japan next season.
Guerrero, who turned 30 this week, last saw action with Los Angeles during the 2015 season, when he hit .233/.261/.434 and knocked 11 home runs over 219 at-bats. The Dodgers released Guerrero in June after he was sidelined by a knee injury, and he hadn't played since.

As Guerrero heads for Japan, he is still owed $7.5 million from the Dodgers in 2017 after signing a four-year, $28 million contract out of Cuba in 2013.
