Bregman will play for Team USA in Classic

Astros infielder Alex Bregman announced via Twitter on Friday that he will suit up for Team USA in the upcoming World Baseball Classic.
Bregman, who will turn 23 in March, hit .264/.313/.478 with eight home runs and 34 RBIs in 217 plate appearances for Houston in his first taste of the Majors last season.

Bregman played third base in 40 of his 49 games. He played six games at shortstop and three at second base.
Bregman has represented the U.S. four times before, playing for the 16-and-under team, the 18-and-under team, and he twice played for the Team USA Collegiate National Team while at LSU.
