Bregman makes young fan's day with 3B tips

Alex Bregman was dropping knowledge on Tuesday at Citi Field.

Prior to the Astros' Interleague tilt against the Mets, a young fan turned to Bregman after taking a photo with him to ask Bregman if he had any tips about playing third base. The two-time All-Star was happy to oblige.

“You’ve got to be on your toes over there ... because the ball’s getting hit to you quick,” Bregman said.

After that, he stressed the importance of being in a "ready position," and got on the balls of his feet to show the importance of being prepared. From there, he ended the talk with some simple yet sound advice.

“Other than that, make sure you catch the ball first and then throw it. I know it sounds simple, but that's the most important thing,” Bregman said before ending the conversation with a fist bump.

As Bregman walked away, the fan turned around and gave a high five with a huge smile on his face.

Bregman knows a thing or two about fielding his position, too, as the seven-year veteran has a .966 fielding percentage over 608 career games at third base. He has a .978 fielding percentage in his first 69 games this year.

If you’re looking for someone to get baseball advice from, you can’t do much better than Alex Bregman. On Tuesday, one lucky fan got to find that out firsthand. Now he’s going to be the best fielder on his Little League team.
