ARLINGTON -- Rangers third baseman Adrián Beltré could be headed back to the disabled list after re-injuring his left hamstring muscle in the eighth inning of the Rangers' 5-3 victory over the D-backs on Monday.
Texas confirmed that Beltre re-aggravated the muscle while trying to score from second base on Robinson Chirinos' eighth-inning single. He was replaced on defense by Jurickson Profar in the ninth. Beltre is expected to undergo an MRI on Tuesday to see the extent of the injury, but there wasn't much optimism in the Rangers' clubhouse after the game.
"He is going to get treatment tonight, an MRI tomorrow and then we'll see," general manager Jon Daniels said.

Beltre has already been on the disabled list twice this season because of a strained left hamstring. Another trip to the DL would likely extinguish any possibility of Beltre being traded to a contender before the end of the August, although that scenario was already looking less and less likely.
