ARLINGTON -- Adolis García knew.
The moment the Rangers outfielder hammered a 1-2 fastball, he immediately started his home run trot, hollering in celebration with his dugout.
García had a good reason to: The 418-foot, three-run blast put Texas up 6-0 in the second inning of the Rangers' 7-1 win in Game 3 to clinch the American League Division Series on Tuesday night, capping a five-run frame and knocking Orioles starter Dean Kremer out of the game.
The Rangers leapt out to an early lead with Corey Seager’s 445-foot home run in the first. His eighth postseason home run at Globe Life Field (seven in 2020 with the Dodgers) came in front of a Texas crowd enjoying their first home playoff game in the ballpark.

After a Josh Jung single and Marcus Semien’s double in the second inning, Baltimore didn’t risk pitching to Seager again, instead intentionally walking the lefty slugger to load the bases. Seager walked again in the fourth inning, his ninth this series, to top Barry Bonds for most in a Division Series.
Following Mitch Garver's two-run double, García made the Orioles pay again -- scoring Seager and Garver on the three-run home run with a celebration to mirror his walk-off blast vs. Minnesota on Sept. 3.
