MLB Pipeline's No. 1 overall prospect Adley Rutschman continues to punish Triple-A pitching, posting a solid 2-for-4 performance to extend his on-base streak to 11 games Sunday afternoon. Adley Rutschman had himself a quiet outing on Wednesday, as the No. 1 overall prospect went 1-for-4 in Triple-A Norfolk's loss to Jacksonville. Adley Rutschman enjoyed another two-hit day on Friday, going 2-for-5 with Triple-A Norfolk. Rutschman went 2-for-5 with two singles and a run scored as he continues to impress in his first taste of Triple-A ball. Aug. 19: Doubles and scores in two-hit night
A day after notching his first Triple-A homer, Adley Rutschman doubled and scored as part of a two-hit night for Norfolk. Baseball's No. 1 overall prospect went 2-for-6, as the Tides took down Charlotte, 11-6. Aug. 18: Tallies first Triple-A HR
Officially cemented as MLB Pipeline's new No. 1 overall prospect, Adley Rutschman belted his first Triple-A home run and went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI during Game 1 of a doubleheader in Charlotte. The switch-hitting backstop is now 11-for-25 with as many extra-base hits (3) as strikeouts through his first six career Triple-A games. Aug. 15: Ends big week with quiet Sunday
Adley Rutschman went 0-for-4 with a strikeout during Game 1 of Triple-A Norfolk's doubleheader Sunday. MLB Pipeline's No. 1 overall prospect didn't play in Game 2. Even with the hitless afternoon, Rutschman is 8-for-21 with five RBIs through five games since his promotion to the Tides on Aug. 8. He struck out in only three of those 21 at-bats. Gameday »
Aug. 13: Reaches three times as hot Triple-A start continues
Adley Rutschman walked, scored and drove in a run in Triple-A Norfolk's win over Memphis on Friday. He went 2-for-4 on the night with two singles, including an RBI single in the first, as his torrid start with the Tides continued. Aug. 12: Drives in one in three-hit game
Adley Rutschman continues to impress at the Triple-A level, as MLB Pipeline's No. 1 overall prospect smacked three hits in his third game with the Tides. Rutschman had two singles and an RBI double in the third inning. He is hitting .462 in his young Triple-A career with two doubles and four RBIs. Aug. 11: Game-winner in second Triple-A game
MLB Pipeline's No. 1 overall prospect Adley Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a clutch two-RBI single which gave Norfolk a late lead on the way to a 7-5 victory Wednesday night. The Oregon State product also stole his first base at the Triple-A level, just his second of the season and third total across 119 Minor League games. Aug. 10: RBI single highlights two-hit Triple-A debut
Adley Rutschman introduced himself to Triple-A Norfolk in style on Tuesday, doubling and driving in a run for the Tides. The Orioles' top prospect was called up following Sunday's game and promptly had himself a 2-for-4 game in his debut. His RBI came on a sixth-inning single and he came around to score in the eighth on a Jahmai Jones base knock. Aug. 8: Unable to break up combined no-hitter
Adley Rutschman and the rest of the Bowie Baysox could not break up a Somerset Patriots combined no-hitter Sunday afternoon, falling by a 7-0 final score. New York Yankees right-hander Luis Severino began the game and threw four innings while on a rehab assignment before handing the ball over to Shawn Semple and Ron Marinaccio. It is a very good time to be Adley Rutschman right now, as baseball's No. 2 ranked prospect launched his 18th home run of the year for his fourth extra-base hit in three games. Rutschman went 1-for-4 at the dish while leading the Bowie pitching staff to a 12-strikeout, 3-0 shutout from behind the plate as well. Aug. 4: Provides all of Bowie's offense
Adley Rutschman drove in the first run and scored the second during Double-A Bowie's 6-2 loss Wednesday. He also recorded two hits for the second consecutive night. Rutschman has registered a run and an RBI in each of his three games this month. His 59 runs this season lead all Double-A Northeast players. Aug. 3: Smacks homer and double
Adley Rutschman launched his 17th homer of the season on Tuesday, as Double-A Bowie fell to Somerset. His homer was a two-run shot to open the scoring for the Baysox in his first at-bat. Rutschman also added a double to his stat line in the third, his 15th of the year. Aug. 1: Rebounds with an RBI single
Adley Rutschman returned to the hit column with a 1-for-5 game Sunday, recording an RBI single in the game's third inning and coming around to score during the same frame. The Orioles top prospect continues to crush left-handed pitching to the tune of a .364/.494/.712 slash line this year but has yet to unlock that power when facing righties, hitting a more modest .242/.364/.430 against them while with Double-A Bowie this season.
