Wainwright joins FOX broadcast crew as full-time analyst
If, after 19 years, you’ve been struggling to imagine baseball without Adam Wainwright, we have some good news for you.
The recently retired Cardinals legend -- also a three-time All-Star and World Series champion -- has joined the broadcast team at FOX Sports as a full-time analyst, it was announced Thursday.
Wainwright has reportedly signed a multi-year contract beginning in 2024 that will cover a full slate of regular and postseason games, including, notably, FOX’s coverage of the first game of the 2024 London Series between the Mets and Phillies on June 8.

“I love the game of baseball, and I really enjoy talking about the chess match that goes on between the pitcher and the hitter,” said Wainwright of his new career direction. “Hopefully, my experience on the field will allow me the opportunity to share the game I love in a unique and deep way, bringing viewers closer to the game.”
It won’t be totally uncharted territory for Wainwright, who has dipped his toe in this pool before, previously serving as a color commentator during FOX Sports’ coverage of the 2020 NLDS, 2021 ALDS and 2023 ALDS.
