Duvall's HR-robbing catch wins Play of Week

Braves outfielder Adam Duvall is coming off a big week at the plate, but it was his glove work that proved to be award worthy on Tuesday, with his home run robbery against the Nationals in Game 1 of Friday’s doubleheader earning him the Play of the Week Award presented by Chevrolet.
With Atlanta holding a 3-0 lead and a man on third in the top of the fourth inning Friday, Nats catcher Yan Gomes slugged a fly ball to deep left field that appeared to be a surefire home run. But Duvall perfectly timed his jump and made a full-extension leaping grab above the wall at Truist Park to rob Gomes, who had to settle for a 380-foot sacrifice fly. The Braves went on to win, 7-1.
Two days prior, Duvall hit three homers against the Red Sox at Fenway Park after teammate Marcell Ozuna -- who was named the National League Player of the Week on Tuesday -- did the same on Tuesday. Ozuna and Duvall became the first pair of teammates in Major League history to go deep three times in consecutive games.
