Judge, who's leading the Major Leagues with 19 home runs this season, crushed 12 of those homers in May, tied with Mookie Betts for the most of any player. He batted .311 with a 1.077 OPS that was second-best in the AL, and his 25 RBIs also ranked second in the AL.
Behind Judge, the Yankees are in first place in the AL East and have the best record in baseball at 36-15.

Goldschmidt gives the Cardinals their second straight Player of the Month Award winner to start the 2022 season, and third straight going back to last year. Nolan Arenado won the award in April, and Tyler O'Neill won in September 2021.
Goldschmidt batted .404 in May to lead the NL, and his 1.288 OPS was the best in the Majors. His 10 home runs during the month ranked second in the NL behind Betts, and his 33 RBIs were the most in MLB.
Both Judge and Goldschmidt are now three-time Player of the Month Award winners. Judge won in the AL in June and September 2017, and Goldschmidt won in the NL in June 2018 and July 2019.
Before Judge, the Yankees' most recent winner was DJ LeMahieu in June 2019.
