NEW YORK -- Aaron Judge continues to slug at an otherworldly pace, belting his Major League-leading 48th home run on Thursday against the Guardians.

Judge homered for the third consecutive game (his fourth homer in that span), cracking an opposite-field blast off Cleveland starter Gavin Williams in the fourth inning.

The blast was Statcast-calculated to travel 360 feet, coming off the bat at 104.6 mph. Judge remains on pace to hit 60 home runs this season, which would represent his second time doing so after eclipsing Roger Maris’ single-season American League record with 62 blasts in 2022.

Judge’s performance is even more remarkable considering a slow first month. In Judge’s past 99 games dating to April 27, including Thursday’s contest, the captain has cracked 44 homers with 105 RBIs.

In addition to homering in three straight contests, Judge has hit six homers in his past seven games since Aug. 11, 13 in his past 23 games since July 26 and 16 in his past 32 games since July 12.
