Oakland sends 3 to Triple-A; 4 return from DL

The A's outrighted right-handers Michael Brady, Simon Castro and Josh A. Smith to Triple-A Nashville on Monday. Oakland also reinstated right-handers Paul Blackburn (wrist), Andrew Triggs (hip) and Bobby Wahl (shoulder), as well as outfielder Dustin Fowler (knee), from the 60-day disabled list.
Brady posted a 5.68 ERA in 16 appearances (31 2/3 innings), including his MLB debut with the A's in 2017. He also had a 3.21 ERA in 17 appearances (eight starts) at Nashville.
Castro began this past season at Nashville, posting a 3.32 ERA in 33 appearances (38 innings). After being promoted to the A's midseason, he posted a 4.38 ERA in 26 appearances (37 innings).
Smith also made 26 appearances for Oakland in '17, posting a 4.89 ERA (35 innings). At Nashville for part of the season, he posted a 3.70 ERA in 19 appearances (two starts).
