A's announce night-heavy home schedule for 2025 in Sacramento
Set to relocate to Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento next season, the A’s have incorporated the expected warmer temperatures in their schedule planning.
The A’s announced on Thursday plans to play 60 of their 81 home games at night for the 2025 regular season, beginning with the club’s inaugural game at Sutter Health Park on Monday, March 31, against the Cubs. The 60 home night games -- all of which are slated to begin at 7:05 p.m. PT -- will tie the franchise record for most night games played at home by the A’s in a single season. They also played 60 home night games during their first year in Oakland in 1968.
In June and July, 25 of the A’s 28 home games are scheduled night contests, including only six Sunday day games from June through August. Most day games will come in the cooler months, as 11 of their 21 total day games will be played in April and May.
The home schedule includes matchups against the Padres (April 7-9), Mets (April 11-13), Phillies (May 23-25), Giants (July 4-6), Braves (July 8-10), D-backs (Aug. 1-3) and Reds (Sept. 12-14). The A’s will play at home for three popular summer holidays, taking on the Yankees on Mother’s Day (May 11), the Phillies over Memorial Day Weekend (May 23-25) and the Giants on Independence Day (July 4).
With the A’s sharing Sutter Health Park with the Sacramento River Cats, the Triple-A affiliate of the Giants, MLB and MiLB have coordinated home schedules to accommodate both teams and ensure that there are no instances in which both teams play at home on the same day.
A’s season tickets for 2025 are on sale now and will be released in phases. Current A’s season-ticket holders will be notified when seats comparable to their 2024 plan are available to purchase. Fans who have placed a season-ticket deposit will be notified based on priority when tickets are available for purchase. Single-game tickets will go on sale in early 2025.
