All-Star uniforms embrace Lone Star State

The 2024 MLB All-Star Game in Arlington will have a distinctive Texas flair, and that includes the players' uniforms.

The jerseys for the 94th Midsummer Classic were unveiled Wednesday and feature a design inspired by Texas' western heritage, with typography and graphics that exude the classic vibes of the Lone Star State but with a contemporary aesthetic. The design also includes bold color blocking, modern trims and vibrant highlights meant to represent a bridge between the past and the future.

The home American League jerseys will feature a sandy base, along with red sleeves and lettering, while the visiting National League threads will have a navy blue base, with light blue sleeves and lettering.

Though all players in each league will don the same uniform, each jersey features the player's individual team logo on the left sleeve, while the All-Star Game logo is displayed on the right sleeve.

Meanwhile, the All-Star caps feature a similarly bold design, including horizontal lines behind the team logo and a single star to the side that connotes both the All-Star honor as well as Texas' "Lone Star" nickname.

This year is the second time Arlington has hosted the All-Star Game, with the first coming in 1995.
