The A's needed just six pitchers to dispose of the Twins in this three-game sweep, as Barry Zito, Dan Haren and Esteban Loaiza all allowed two runs or fewer in five innings or more. Huston Street recorded two saves in three appearances.

Oakland's Frank Thomas and Minnesota's Justin Morneau each had five hits, including two home runs apiece. Marco Scutaro drove in six for the A's.
