One of the basic lessons you try to teach your children is to work together. Cooperation is key to achieving a successful goal for everybody involved. A couple of young baseball fans showed they've been listening to their parents during Sunday afternoon's Rockies-Nationals game.
Nats catcher Matt Wieters hit a game-tying home run in the sixth inning that eventually landed in the hands of a Rockies fan:
Rockies second baseman DJ LeMahieu then matched Wieters in the eighth, giving his team the lead. Ironically, that ball landed in the hands of a Washington fan.
So, the kids decided to do the smart and correct thing before the ninth: They swapped baseballs so each could have one from their respective teams.
The Rockies won, 6-5, and so did humanity (not, 6-5, but you get it).
