One of the most amusing moments during a baseball game is arguably those few seconds after a young fan receives a foul ball. They're rich with uncertainty, particularly when that young fan is struck by an idea.
Specifically, the idea to do what feels natural when holding a baseball: Throw it. After all, you spend hours watching the players throw baseballs around the field, and young kids tend to mimic what they see adults do. That said, it's on the parents, then, to make sure this doesn't happen ... which this young boy's parents did perfectly during the Rangers' 5-3 win over the Mariners in Arlington on Monday night:
Jersey, cap, and eye black ... this kid really looks the part! And, if it weren't for his parents, he'd have played the part, too. Close call!
